Check out mint.com an online money management tool that can aggregate your account info from various banks, credit cards, and IRA accounts. The folks that use Mint seem to love the fact that they don't have to log into various websites and can see all of their financial info on a one-page snapshot. It also helps you analyze your spending, find savings opportunities specific to your profile, and notifies you of all of the infamous "fees."

No, I don't need yet another bank account to manage - I like to keep things simple. But this bank, SmartyPig, is a little different. It's just like a savings account where you have a savings goal, except that your savings goal is "communal" - you can let your friends/family know, who can then contribute to help you get there. Plus, at the time of this post, they're offering 3.9%APY (versus my fav, ING @ 3.0%).

Cellphone vs. Land line: Do We Need Both?

We would save about $60/month if we get rid of the land line. But some people tell me that we need to keep it since we have small kids. The majority of our freinds only have cell phones, but they are the ones that don't have kids. I am leaning towards getting rid of the land line.

I just passed my local gas station - $3.99 for unleaded. And I'm
