As I dad, I love how to sites. Just give it to me straight. Here's mashable's list of top 10 how-to sites.
Some of these will be old news to you for sure, but I bet that you'll
find something cool in some of the newer video sharing sites - sorta
like YouTube, but focused on practical how to advice on just about
everything.

The Uberlist of lists

I don't know what it is about lists, but I just love 'em. Keep it sweet and simple. There are plenty of "list" articles, but this site seems to stand head and shoulders above them all by collecting the most random/marvelous/weird/fun lists there are. It's like an Encyclopedia minus the boring stuff (with a bit of subjectivity spice) in list format. Not necessarily a site for your kids to browse, as the subject matter can get a little iffy, but there are definitely some great lists for you and your kid.

Sports & Kids: Instilling a healthy love for the game

Check out this post by Greg Burton, lifelong sports enthusiast and founder of Zoosse. Great points on how to keep your kids enthusiastic about sports (without embarrassing or smothering them). If I've seen "overparenting" anywhere, I've seen it in the stands of junior sports competitions. In this post, Greg provides 10 Do's and 10 Don'ts to instill a healthy love of sports in our kids.

Skills every dad should master?

A friend of mine passed along this MSN article on the "75 Skills Every Man Should Master." Though
there's some silly (bordering on the stupid/lame) stuff in there, this
got me thinking. What are the handful of key silly, fun, serious
skills every dad should master?

7 Ways to Extend Your Weekend

I'm a huge fan of lists. So, in honor of the extended
three-day weekend, I thought of seven ways to lengthen your weekend even more. Being the dad, you know everyone's counting on you to come through in the clutch.

How to answer your teenager's top 4 complaints

Most parents rank
the teenage years as the hardest stage of
child rearing, due in large part to constant angry fighting. Yet, as one author said about warring
nations, "Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional." In other words, conflicts will naturally arise
as your teen develops her personality and increases her desire for
independence.
