Is Facebook frying our kids' brains?
One neuroscientist thinks so. She thinks it makes kids' brains more like babies' brains, makes them more self-centered, decreases their attention span, and makes them less empathetic. TechCrunch offers a counterpoint, arguing that these social networks are good for kids. Personally, I think both perspectives have some valid points. I continue to content that social networks are great as complements/supplements of real life and real community, not a replacement for it. Use it like that (and in moderation), and it'll add richness to your relationships instead of hollowing them out.
