any tips for me?

Submitted by compostdad on December 21, 2008 - 9:25pm.
Hey we're expecting another little boy in April. We are the very
proud parents of a two year old boy so we're all kinds of excited to be
honest.
That being said, what's a couple tips that you wish someone would've told you when your second kid arrived??
thanks - Jared

As the saying goes, 'just enjoy it'.
Re: any tips for me?
Jared,
Congratulations! Don't forget special time with #1 and let him know how important it is to be a big brother. He will be a bit upset a few days after his brother comes home, but it will pass. You will laugh at all the things that roll off your back with #2 that were so scary the first time around. Just wait till the third...
Cheers,
Toby
Re: any tips for me?
We prepared a toy for our first child as well. When he came to visit us in the hospital, we gave it to him and said it was from his baby sister. We also gave him a card basically saying that his baby sister is so excited to meet him and learn from him. To this day, our first son still believes that Thomas the Train toy was from his little sister.
tips for #2 arrival
congrats! just remember to spend some one-on-one or uninterrupted time with your 1st child periodically. also, when you come home with #2, have someone also bring over a special toy for #1.
Re: any tips for me?
Take a TON of pictures and videos of your second child--as many as you can by themselves, too. Later on, they notice the difference in how many more you took of older brother!
