here's a great ad age article on how twitter is being utilized today in 5 ways.  Like you said, it is somewhat similar to stumbleupon or digg in that you can see great links from trusted people in your network.  But it's a broader communication tool - you can use it to talk to people, do research, broadcast content, and even provide customer service.

cool to see this - I've been hearing so much about twitter recently. isn't this sort of just like a list of favorite links, like stumbleupon or digg?
